Henry Gritton

Henry Gritton is a saxophonist, flautist, keyboardist and record producer based in Louisville, Kentucky, working sessions across Los Angeles, New York and abroad.

He trained at Louisville's Youth Performing Arts School in both classical and jazz saxophone, and graduated from Berklee College of Music in May 2020.

His playing appears on records by Jack Harlow, Jalen Santoy and BigXthaPlug. Music he has contributed to has been streamed well over 290 million times — Jalen Santoy's “Foreplay,” on which he replayed the saxophone part, has passed 298 million plays on its own.

As a producer he works as one third of Suston Music Group with Christopher Pegram and Alan Osmundson. The trio produced and co-wrote “BigXFL” for BigXthaPlug, the XFL's theme song for its 2023 season.

Under his own name he releases with Chillhop Music — Chillhop Essentials Summer 2021, Chillhop Essentials Spring 2023, and the singles “Solstice” and “Delicate” with Middle School.

On stage he has toured the United States and Canada with Live Nation supporting Jackson Lundy, and played The Troubadour, The Peppermint Club, the Grammy Museum and the Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles, with dates in Seattle, Portland and San Francisco.

In a session his job is to add saxophone, flute and keys that complement the vocal rather than overshadow it. His production blends jazz, country and R&B. He works in English and fluent Spanish.
